A major concern for her home was energy efficiency. We sided the entire house with Preservation Siding and used detailed custom trims and accents around the home, with doors and shake siding. Although the color of the siding was changed, what really stood out was the new GAF country estate roof tiles that we installed. Gosnickel – Warren, Somerset
BeforeTalk about a combination job! Joe’s clients in beautiful Somerset County’s town of Warren, N.J. had a tall order for Joe. But nothing that he couldn’t handle. They loved their home’s original look but couldn’t stand the constant cost of all the maintenance they were plagued to undertake each year. They didn’t want to change the look either…. until they met Joe. After much consideration, they decided on James T. Hardie’s fiber cement board siding on the entire home with all new cellular PVC trim boards by Azek. The original was removed and replaced with Hardie’s khaki brown and the 18 pairs of wood shutters on the home were recycled and custom painted with a Tuscan red and forest green two-tone to add a big POP to the outside. Now, with the homes exterior on the way to greatness, the original sun deck was the real challenge. The client was confused as to what would look and work best and relied on Joe’s design and research department to come up with a ‘stop-em-in-their-tracks’ look. Joe’s team came up with a Cellular PVC Pro-cell product for the decking and a natural Brazilian Iron-Wood for the rail framing with a combination of Timbertec railings with Trex 4×4 chocolate brown posts. The deck having multiple elevation changes and being picture-framed and on all sorts of angles was a hit with all the family and friends. Wait its not over…The rear wall of the home had a court-yard-like-look so Joe’s team recommended Owens Corning’s Cultured ledge stone along and along with the built in BBQ, this area had a great pop as well. The BBQ is a regular Weber $500 type push in and out type, but with the stones on each side and with granite slabs on top it became a master piece project for Joe’s team as well as the family. -
Dabney – Piscataway , Somerset
BeforeDorothy of Piscataway N.J. knew she needed to weatherize as well as update her 1960’s bi-level home. The roof was leaking and the fuel bills were climbing. She got several estimates for new GAF Timberline roofing, Certinteed Cedar Board full Back insulated siding and Anderson 400-series windows. The estimates ranged $15 thousand dollars apart from one another. And she was baffled as of what to do. Luckily that’s when a friend suggested she call Joe Percario General Contractors. On Joe’s visit he found Dorothy’s Mom and 2 daughters at her house with there own problems. Her 88 year old mother was selling her own home to move into assisted living and two single daughters, in local apartments and struggling to make ends meet. Since they were all at the appointment and the 3 seemed to be pretty close, the suggestion for Joe was easy. You see the Piscataway home had expandable property on 3 sides… Within 12 months there were three new additions and lots of room for all to now share breakfast and a brand new, affordable “old” house.
